Project: ALL CITY SHINE
2023
ALL CITY SHINE (ACS) is a BIPOC Mural and Street Art Exhibition composed of various projects and exhibits that will roll out during the course of ArtworxTO’s Year of Public Art. The curatorial approach takes an Afrofuturist aesthetic, looking on to the future with faith, while reflecting back on our BIPOC identities in this multicultural city. ACS presents a strong statement acknowledging the struggles that people of colour face in art communities, especially in the Public Art sector where they are often operating on the margins. ALL CITY SHINE is a vibrant approach to combat these systemic issues by putting BIPOC Artists front and centre to shine.
